An initiative to enhance public safety in Baton Rouge public schools

Project Overview

  • To upgrade the security systems in the 10 remaining EBRPSS middle and high schools with 13-year-old analog systems​
  • To enhance security systems at every middle and high school by adding up to 180 cameras based on need, as identified by an environmental assessment
  • To enhance security at the 10 schools with the most police contact by installing an alert system throughout each campus
  • To integrate all 30 EBRPSS middle and high school into the Baton Rouge Real Time Crime Center
